It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Exodus 31:17 · KJV
Thus says the Lord: Be still on the seventh day, as I rested and was refreshed (Exodus 31:17). This sacred Sabbath is your soul's renewal, a sign of hope and alignment with My covenant. Stay in your place, cease all work (Exodus 16:28-30, Jeremiah 17:21-23), and refresh your system in My presence (Isaiah 28:12, Acts 3:19). Reject this rest, and you spurn My healing waters (Jeremiah 17:13) and kindle My anger (Jeremiah 17:4, 18:12). In the day of evil, the Sabbath is your refuge (Jeremiah 17:17; Matthew 24:20). Observe it, and find victory through My promised refreshing (Hebrews 4:8-13).
Be still on the seventh day, and be refreshed.
