The Glory of This Latter House

Beloved,

Haggai declares the promise of the latter house: “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former… and in this place will I give peace” (Haggai 2:9). Yet this greater glory is not automatic. It is tied directly to the instruction in verse 5.

Be strong… and work: for I am with you … According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

That word—covenanted immediately after deliverance from Egypt and the Red Sea—is the perpetual Sabbath covenant (Exodus 31:16). It is the command to remain in place on the seventh day, from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, and be still in holy convocation with the Spirit of Creation (Exodus 16:4, 28-30; 35:3; Psalm 4:4).

In the former house the Spirit did not dwell in men. In this latter house the Spirit now abides in those redeemed by the blood of Yahusha. The greater glory, the greater works, the hundredfold increase, and the abiding peace are promised to those who accept that blood and walk in the very word Yahuah covenanted with His people the moment they came out of bondage: to keep the Sabbath holy by staying still on the seventh day.

Therefore be strong according to that word.

As you do, His victorious Spirit will remain among you, and you will have nothing to fear.
