Feast of Tabernacles — Days 6 and 7

Friday, September 18 and the Seventh-Day Sabbath, September 19

Beloved Greater One Church,

and all who labor in Oneness with the Greater One,

We have come to Days 6 and 7 of the Feast. Friday is the preparation day. The seventh day is the Sabbath — the stillness appointment in holy convocation with the Spirit of the Lord.

Do not miss the anchor. Many quote Haggai 2:4 and run to the promise in verse 9. If you miss the whole of verse 5, you miss the message.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: according to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former… and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Verse 4 tells you to be strong.

Verse 5 tells you what you must be strong at.

You must be strong according to the word He covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. That word is not a mystery. Immediately after Egypt, before Sinai’s full giving of the law, He tested them with the Sabbath:

And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath… abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. So the people rested on the seventh day.

Exodus 16:27-30 · KJV

This is the covenanted word Haggai points back to. His Spirit remains among you as you would like only if you are strong according to that word. You cannot claim verse 9’s greater glory and peace while refusing verse 5’s instruction. His presence follows the word He covenanted after Egypt. Stillness on the seventh day is not a side issue. It is the term of remaining.

Day 6 — Prepare to Keep What Was Covenanted

Friday is preparation. Finish the work of the six days. Do not drag servile labor into the Sabbath. Prepare your house, your meals, your heart, and your schedule so that tomorrow you can do what Israel was commanded to do after Egypt: stay in your place and rest.

This is how you are strong. Not in noise. Not in motion. Strong according to the word covenanted when you came out of Egypt.

Day 7 — His Spirit Remains Where That Word Is Kept

On the seventh day, tabernacle with the Lord in stillness. This is not the feast-assembly travel day. This is holy convocation with His Spirit in your dwelling.

Abide ye every man in his place.

Exodus 16:29 · KJV

Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.

Psalm 4:4 · KJV

If you will not be strong here, you will not have His presence remaining among you as you desire. Prayer without this obedience will not prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Isaiah 58:1-5, 13-14). When the enemy comes with frustration, answer as Yahusha answered — with a life conformed to what is written.

Be strong. Fear not. His Spirit remains among those who keep the word He covenanted after Egypt. Then the promise stands: the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, and in this place He will give peace.

Reminder — The Eighth Day

After the seventh day comes the eighth: Sunday, September 20 — a holy convocation and solemn assembly unto the Lord.

On the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you… it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

Leviticus 23:36 · KJV

This is not a day for business. No servile work — so that His people can gather unto the Lord, to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16-21).

Keep the order clear:

Day 6 (Friday): prepare.

Day 7 (the Sabbath): stay in your place; be strong according to Exodus 16; holy convocation with His Spirit.

Day 8 (Sunday): no servile work; solemn assembly; gather unto the Lord.

Beloved, do not miss verse 5. Be strong at the word covenanted after Egypt. Then His Spirit remains sufficiently among you. Then the latter house receives greater glory.

The Feast of Tabernacles must continue.
