A Lamp to Your Feet

The Word is not inspiration for the shelf. It is a lamp, a law, and a path — to be done, not merely admired. A lamp that is never taken into the dark is a decoration. This house reads in order to walk.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22 · KJV

Hearing without doing is a kind of lie we tell ourselves in spiritual language. The remnant is not fed by slogans. The commandments are still the path, the Sabbath is still the weekly lamp, and the appointed times are still the seasons in which a people learn to live on His clock.

Open the Word. Keep what you need for the week. Then do it — in the body, in the house, in the hours He named holy.
