Feast of Weeks
Seven Sabbaths from Firstfruits, fifty days
The law was given, and the Spirit was poured out, on this appointed time. Word and Spirit are not rivals. The same God who spoke from Sinai writes the words on the heart. Weeks is the feast of a people who both hear and do.
All appointed timesAnd ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

The seventh day is the Sabbath unto the LORD — a day to stay in place. The day after is the day He marked for firstfruits, Pentecost, and resurrection. One does not replace the other.
